HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY?
My style is candid and creative, with an emphasis on natural light. I want to show who people are. I don't take stale, posed portraits. I want to make photographs that are so loud with personality that you can practically hear them.
DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL FOR THIS?
Nope! I actually graduated from Louisiana State University majoring in Communication Disorders and minoring in Horticulture. But, I began shooting in high school and my love for photography and amazing people out-shined anything I ever studied, so here I am.
HOW DO YOU APPROACH EACH WEDDING?
I am all about genuine emotion and capturing the atmosphere of your wedding day so that you can better remember it. I take the "fly on the wall" approach and shoot a lot of natural-lit candid photos during the time you are getting ready, ceremony and reception (if lighting allows). Then if a dance party gets cranked up, I love to break out the flash and shoot in a way that does a better representation of the lighting and motion. I know twenty years from now you won't want to see 20 blog-worthy pictures of a cake, or stale, posed portraits. You'll want to remember how your husband bawled his eyes out as you walked down the aisle. Your great-grandparents sharing a sweet slow dance. The giggles from your little niece as your brother threw her into the air. The raging dance party toward the end of the night. I know what's important, and I get it all.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER OUR SESSION/WEDDING?
As soon as I get home after your session, I back up all of the images to ensure that they are safe and sound. I skim through and pick some favorites, e-mailing or posting a preview within 48 hours. I take a break from your session for a couple days, then come back to it so that I can approach it with fresh eyes. I'll work some more magic and then a week or two later -- voila! You receive an e-mail from me, with the link to your gallery of edited, high-res 60-100 images, and easy instructions for downloading, sharing & printing. Boom.
Weddings are a little different just because of the mass amount of images. I back them up as soon as I get home, to make sure they are, you guessed it, safe and sound! I skim through and may send you a few previews while you're on your honeymoon. After that, depending on my workload, it can take a a little while to finish editing your photos. I usually have to go through about 3,000+ and I like to take my time-- consistency in editing style is super important to me, and I like to make sure your images "flow" together. The waiting period is worth it though, because at the end of 8 weeks you receive your online gallery of edited, high-res images and a cute little USB package in the mail. You and your husband spend an evening sipping wine, laughing hysterically and tearing up a bit as you reminisce on the sweetest day.
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE PRINTS & PRODUCTS?
When you receive your online gallery, you (or anyone you share the gallery with) will have the option to purchase prints and products through me. I also have a list of recommended vendors if you are more of a DIY gal.
